Cookware Sorcerer – Nancy Haitz
Name: Sam
How he got his name: That was the name they gave him at the Humane Society. It sort of fit him. His personality is very much like a guy I used to work with, who was named Sam.
Sex: former boy (neutered)
Breed: Dalmatian/Harlequin Great Dane
Favorite treat: bananas
Pet him here: a good scratch behind the ears
Favorite toy: tennis ball
Interesting characteristics: He is extremely punctual, which is good because I’m not. Sam barks at me in the morning if I’m not ready to go to work on time. Likewise, he starts barking at customers if they keep us open late. The time changes always confuse him.
Quirks: He has a lot of food allergies.
He greets customers by: licking their faces if he gets the chance. He also makes the regulars get him cookies.
He helps around the shop by: distributing dust and dog hair evenly.
He was adopted: when I went to the Humane Society specifically to adopt a dog.
Fears: thunderstorms
Interests: He is into modern technology – he loves peemail, especially on all the corner utility poles where other dogs leave him messages.
Skills: Sam is skilled at training humans. I am one of the best trained humans in the area.
