About HighBall Halloween:
Masquerade On High
The event was introduced to wild acclaim on October 31, 2008. It is a production of the Short North Business Association. Nearly 10,000 guests attended year one. HighBall is built on a foundation of fashion and the artistry
of the masquerade. The central focus of the event is the
80-foot runway built directly on High Street under the glowing iconic arches that line the Short North corridor. The street is converted to a high-tech, New York-style, celebration of Columbus' creativity. Music. Dancing. Seeing. Being Seen. The evening features a number of fashion and costume competitions held on the runway. This year's event (with expanded categories) will include the following competitions:
Children's Costume Contest
Dogtober Howl-oween Pet Costume Contest
Costume Couture Fashion Showdown (for fashion design professionals)
HighBall Costume Competition (for the general public) |
